The Alberta Amateur Wrestling Association membership offers several benefits to members, primarily in the form of insurance.  All Alberta Sanctioned events are insured through the Alberta Amateur Wrestling Association.  Competitors at these events are covered by the AAWA.  This extends to team practices and tournaments outside of the province of Alberta.  Additionally, membership within the AAWA is required for any events outside of the school season. The Alberta Open, Junior Olympics and other tournaments require AAWA membership in order to compete.  For any programs attached to a school calendar or events the cost of membership is only $10.00.  If you have any questions regarding membership you are encouraged to call the AAWA at  780-415-0140.

The Alberta Amateur Wrestling Association is the governing body for amateur wrestling and the sport of grappling in Alberta. It's mission is to provide a safe, supervised and supportive environment for Alberta's amateur wrestlers.
